Avideh K. Mayville, PhD, is a program and project manager, researcher, and leader with over a decade of experience across non-profits, think tanks, and higher education institutions. Her areas of specialty include globalization and development policy, development in conflict environments (specifically Central Asia), transnational resistance, the security-development nexus, and rights-based approaches to development. She earned her PhD in Sociology from George Mason University, MA in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from American University, and BA in Political Economy of Development from St. Mary's College of Maryland. Avideh is fluent in Farsi, experienced in leading multicultural teams and diverse projects, designing and executing mixed methods research agendas, and developing curriculum to facilitate cross-cultural collaboration.
